This week, Ricoh launched the MP C2030 and MP C2530 colour multifunctional devices.

The MP C2030 and MP C2530 offers 20 and 25 ppm output speed in both black and colour printing and offers duplex at simplex speed.  They also contain an integrated 50 sheet ARDF (Auto Reverse Document Feed) unit and integrated stack-less duplex unit and bypass tray.

Like the MP C2050 and MP C2550, the MP C2030 and MP C2530 were specifically designed for use in small office environments were space is at a premium.  One of the key distinguishing factors between the four devices is that of the internal finishing options offered by the MP C2050 and MP C2550.  

Ricoh has now completed the planned introduction of four new Office Colour products. These units, combined with the earlier Office Colour product introductions mean that Ricoh’s Office Colour product portfolio has been totally refreshed and offers users the latest technology and all of the features and benefits thereof.

Ricoh Europe Plc, the global leader in digital office solutions has this week underlined its commitment to sustainability by joining the UN Global Compact and winning two Ruban d’Honneur prizes in the “Environmental Awareness” and “Corporate Sustainability” categories at the European Business Awards.

The European Business Awards are designed to recognise and promote excellence, best practice and innovation in the European business community, in line with the aims of the European Union and business representative groups across the member states. Due to the quality of entrants, the top ten most successful companies are awarded The Ruban d’Honneur. It is from the Ruban d’Honneur recipients that the final winner in each category is selected.

The final winners for each category of the European Business Awards will be announced on 7 April, 2009.

On 8 December 2008, RICOH gave its support to, and participation in The Poznań Communiqué, an initiative by 140 leading global corporations to highlight the need for action on climate change. The communiqué was developed by the Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change (managed by the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry).

The Communiqué says that “climate change poses global social, environmental and economic risks and demands a transformational change in how we manage our global economy” and that “we must deliver deep and rapid cuts in greenhouse gas emissions” . It also states that “any credible comprehensive agreement must include mechanisms to reduce tropical deforestation” as the continuing destruction of these ecosystems accounts for up to a fifth of annual greenhouse gas.
